ESPN’s NFL's Analyst Jeremy Green Faces Child Porn, Drug Charges

In what is being dubbed as the most shocking news of late, ESPN ‘s famous NFL analyst Jeremy Green has been arrested on charges of child pornography in Connecticut on Thursday. The analyst was charged with first-degree possession of child pornography, possession of narcotics and possession of drug paraphernalia, said the Hartford Courant.

Reports said that Green was held on USD 750,000 bail. More details were not available as the warrant was sealed. There was no telephone listing for Green at his address in Bristol. It’s also unclear whether the analyst had sought a lawyer. Espn.com has not yet commented on the rest.

Bristol Police Criminal Investigations Division members served the analyst with an arrest warrant at a Hartford area hotel. Green is a popular sports columnist and NFL studio analyst, who currently works for Scouts, Inc. and ESPN. The analyst also happens to be for the former director of pro personnel for the Cleveland Browns. Green is the son former Minnesota Vikings head coach Dennis Green.

Green was recently sacked from the “Football Today” podcast due to what has been labelled as personal reasons. But later his said in his column on ESPN.com that he had left the podcast due to a falling out with the show’s producer Jay Soderberg.
Green’s arrest has come like surprise for many. The analyst enjoyed a decent reputation and was reckoned for his sharp critics. Green has not yet issued any statement on his arrest. It’s likely to that the analyst will soon issue a clarification on his arrest. Reports said that he might be sacked from ESPN in case he is proven guilty.
